Students from the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University (IOGU) are undergoing an internship at the China University of Petroleum in Beijing from June 29 to July 20.
The China University of Petroleum has developed a special program for the three-week summer internship. It will allow IOGU students to explore its teaching and practical laboratories, training centers, and museums.
The students will also visit the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and its production facilities, the Geological Museum, the China Science and Technology Museum, and the Great Wall of China. In addition, Turkmen students are expected to participate in short-term educational courses on "Fundamentals of the Chinese Language" and "Chinese Culture," as well as lectures and seminars on "Green Energy and Carbon Emissions Reduction," "The Future of Oil and Gas," and "Prospects for Energy Cooperation along the Silk Road”.
The internship is organized under the Memorandum of Understanding and Agreement signed with the China University of Petroleum in 2023 for cooperation in science and education. It will provide students with ample opportunities to apply their acquired theoretical knowledge in practical applications, according to the IOGU website.
