A new gas well put into operation at the Kukurtli field

In early September, a new gas well, Well No. 3, was put into operation at the Northern Kukurtli field in the Lebap velayat. It has a daily output of 75 thousand cubic meters of natural gas. The extracted gas is supplied to the population of the Darganata etrap.

In the near future, it is planned to produce up to 3 tons of gas condensate a day from the new well.

Currently, the Kukurtli Linear Production Department of the Lebapgazçykaryş Directorate manages the Malaý, Bagaja, Sakar, Farap and Kukurtli fields. Coordinating operations across these sites, maintaining high technical reliability of the facilities and effectively utilizing the potential of wells are the top priorities for the gas workers.

Over the first eight months of the current year, 5 billion 411 million 536 thousand cubic meters of natural gas were produced and supplied to consumers, against a target of 4 billion 804 million 822 thousand cubic meters. Thus, the production target was met by 112.6%, and the output was 109% compared to the same period last year.

High results were also achieved in gas condensate production. Since the beginning of the year, production reached 2,920 tons over the eight-month period, exceeding the target of 2,495 tons (117% plan fulfillment). The extracted raw material was sent to the Seydi oil refinery for further processing. This underscores the Kukurtli Department’s important role not only in gas supply but also in the provision of raw materials to the processing industry.
