In 2021, Gazprom purchased 10.6 billion cubic meters of gas from Turkmenistan

 In 2021, Gazprom purchased 10.6 billion cubic meters of gas from Turkmenistan.  This is reported in the materials prepared for the meeting of the Presidents of the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan, which is scheduled on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Samarkand on September 15-16, RIA Novosti reports.

 The materials for the upcoming meeting of the leaders of the two states note that “active cooperation in the energy sector continues: Gazprom continues to purchase Turkmen natural gas (according to the contract, an average of 5.5 billion cubic meters per year, in 2021, 10.6 billion cubic meters were purchased)”.

 It is also reported that the trade turnover between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan in 2021 amounted to 865.1 million US dollars.
