On December 12, Turkmenistan solemnly celebrated the International Day of Neutrality and the 27th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan.
In the congratulatory Address of the President to the people of independent neutral Turkmenistan, it was noted that the main goal of neutrality, recognized by the international community as a great value and universal doctrine, is the protection of peace and security on the planet. In addition, the permanent neutrality of our state, located at the crossroads of Asia and Europe, has given a powerful impetus to the expansion of the scope of international cooperation and the development of friendly relations.
On the occasion of the holiday, a flower-laying ceremony at the Monument of Neutrality was held in the capital of Turkmenistan, in which President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part.
The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the Mejlis and the Halk Maslakhaty of Milli Gengesh, the government, military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, ambassadors of Turkmenistan to foreign countries, heads of diplomatic missions and international structures accredited in our country, elders, representatives of public organizations, and the media.
As part of the celebration of the International Day of Neutrality, Ashgabat hosted such international forums as the Dialogue of Women of the Countries of Central Asia and the conference “Dialogue - Guarantee of Peace”.
On the same day, festive events dedicated to the International Day of Neutrality were held in all regions of the country.
