President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov is taking part in a meeting of the heads of state of the CIS member states, which began with negotiations in a narrow format, TDH reports today.
After the negotiations in a narrow format, a meeting of the CIS heads of state will take place in an expanded format with the participation of members of government delegations.
The agenda of the current Summit covers a wide range of issues of interaction in the Commonwealth space, relating to the identification of priority areas of partnership, taking into account modern realities and long-term prospects, and the adoption of appropriate decisions.
The meeting is also attended by the heads of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Belarus – Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakhstan – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyzstan – Sadyr Japarov, Russia – Vladimir Putin, Tajikistan – Emomali Rahmon, Uzbekistan – Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
