The President of Turkmenistan invited Turkey to create a Joint Investment Fund

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov proposed creating a Joint Investment Fund and a Joint Working Group on Investments, as well as opening branches of leading Turkish banks in Turkmenistan, speaking on Thursday at the opening of the Turkmen-Turkish business forum in Ankara as part of his official visit to Turkey.  TDH reports this.

As Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted, Turkmenistan attaches importance to building up investment partnerships with foreign countries, and the main goal here is to attract foreign capital to the large energy and infrastructure projects we are implementing.

This, in turn, opens up a wide field for action for us.  In this regard, we propose to create a Joint Investment Fund and a Joint Working Group on Investments, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized.

The head of the Turkmen state also proposed to consider the issue of opening branches of a number of leading Turkish banks in Turkmenistan in order to financially regulate the activities of Turkish investors and industrialists in our country.
