The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov pays close attention to the priority development of the country’s oil and gas industry and makes important decisions. The unprecedented efforts made by the head of state determine the successful progress of work to increase hydrocarbon resources throughout the country. The workers of the Lebapnebitgazgözleg expedition of the Turkmengeologiýa State Corporation are actively involved in this. Their persistent and purposeful work is bearing fruit. Recently, geologists pleased our compatriots with another success. A large influx of natural gas was obtained at an exploratory well drilled at the Northern Gazlydepe field by members of the expedition team led by Aganiyaz Akiyev. Experts say that the well’s flow rate is 420 thousand cubic meters of natural gas and 5 tons of gas condensate a day.
“Natural gas has been produced at this field for many years. For this reason, productive wells are considered low-pressure wells. However, experts believe that this deposit is rich in resources. Our current work is based on these assumptions. At a depth of 3,085-3,089 and 3,010-3,012 meters of the exploratory well we drilled, rich resources of natural gas were discovered. This, as we noted above, confidently confirms that this deposit has great prospects,” the chief geologist of the expedition Sunnet Hatamov says.
