The state concern “Turkmengas” is carrying out targeted work to increase the volume of production of “blue fuel”, including sulfur-free gas.  Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on measures taken in this direction at a government meeting held via the digital system on March 15.

In particular, the Vice-Chairman reported that for this purpose, the State Concern is carrying out effective work to search for sulfur-free gas at the wells of developing promising fields, primarily at one of the world's largest gas fields, Galkynysh.

In this regard, with the help of special equipment and funds allocated by the State Concern «Turkmengas», production and evaluation wells were drilled in oil and gas fields, from which industrial inflows of sulfur-free gas were obtained.

Also, in order to search for new gas deposits in the coming years and its safe delivery to consumers, the State Concern “Turkmengas” has drawn up an action plan to obtain additional volumes of natural “blue fuel” from gas wells in the shortest possible time.  In this context, drilling of development and appraisal wells has begun.

In addition, appropriate work is being carried out to provide the necessary equipment for the onshore construction of newly drilled gas wells.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of the work carried out by the State Concern “Turkmengas” to increase the production of “blue fuel”.  Focusing on the need to further increase hydrocarbon production volumes, the head of state addressed specific instructions to the Vice-Chairman.
