The President of Turkmenistan noted the importance of installing “smart” gas meters

On June 5, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system, at which topical issues of the country’s life were discussed, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
During the meeting, the Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov reported on the measures taken by the Türkmengaz State Concern for the widespread introduction of a digital system into the gas supply structure.
As it was reported, in order to successfully implement the tasks planned in accordance with the State Program of Digital Economy Development in Turkmenistan for 2021–2025, the country was taking the necessary measures to introduce new technologies, in particular, work was underway to install “smart” gas meters in households consuming natural gas.
After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of installing modern gas meters that allow the population and enterprises to be safely and reliably supplied with natural and liquefied gas.
The introduction of advanced technologies at gas supply facilities would make it possible to strengthen control over natural gas consumption, the head of state noted, instructing the Deputy Prime Minister to continue work in this regard.
The sectoral meeting summed up the results of the activities of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan for five months of 2025
On June 5, a reporting meeting on the results of the industry’s enterprises for the first five months of this year, the International Year of Peace and Trust, was held in the Central Building of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan.
