The Turkmenistan Investment Forum TIF-2024 has started in Ashgabat

The Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2024) has started its work in the Yildiz Hotel in Ashgabat on September 10. It is intended to become an important international platform for attracting investments to the economy of our country.

The organizers of the forum are the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.

At the beginning of the event, the participants listened to a video address by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. In his address, the head of state emphasized the importance of the current event for the further economic growth of the country and the strengthening of international cooperation.

The business event is attended by members of the government, heads of ministries and departments of the country, heads of diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, as well as authoritative experts and representatives of leading national and international companies.

 During the forum, leading state-owned companies will present opportunities for attracting foreign direct investment in various sectors of the economy, including the development of hydrocarbon resources in the Caspian Sea offshore blocks, the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project, as well as new projects in the gas chemical, electric power, construction, textile, and transport and communications sectors.

The forum program includes parallel thematic sessions with the participation of representatives of specialized UN agencies and S&P Global Commodity Insights experts, as well as round tables with the participation of the World Trade Organization Secretariat and international institutions.

The topic of the plenary session of the forum is "Economic Development and Investment Potential of Turkmenistan". Speakers include representatives of the UN, the World Bank, the Eastern Committee of German Economy, PETRONAS, Nippon Export and Investment Insurance and other organizations.

The Turkmenistan Investment Forum will conclude its work on September 11.

Pre-conference day of the TESC 2025 forum

On Thursday, June 5, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Environmental Aspects of Implementation of Innovative Technologies in the Development of Hydrocarbon Deposits" (TESC) will open in Ashgabat. Tajikistan intends to increase imports of liquefied natural gas from Turkmenistan
