Turkmenistan and the EU strengthen partnership for the development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor

On November 20, within the framework of the EU Coordination Platform for the Development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor, an online seminar was held with the participation of representatives of government agencies of Turkmenistan, the European Union, international financial institutions and the diplomatic corps.
The main goal of the meeting was to discuss priority transport projects of Turkmenistan and the possibilities of their financing within the framework of international cooperation. The participants focused on the development of transport infrastructure to increase the transit potential of the Trans-Caspian Corridor and strengthen ties between Central Asia and Europe.
Among the participants from the Turkmen side were representatives of the Agency for Transport and Communications, the Agency "Turkmendemiryollary", the State Customs Service, as well as the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Brussels Sapar Palvanov.
The seminar was supported by the Directorate-General for International Partnerships of the European Commission, international financial institutions such as the Asian Development Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as well as the French Ambassador to Turkmenistan and representatives of other diplomatic missions in Ashgabat, the International Information Center of Turkmenistan reports.
