Development of the social sphere is a priority of the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2025

Significant funds of the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2025 will be directed to the development of the social sphere. This was announced at a recent meeting of the Mejlis of the country, at which the draft law "On the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2025" was considered and unanimously adopted.

Considering that the most important direction of the national strategy is the progressive development of Turkmenistan as a socially oriented state, which has prioritized the achievement of high living standards of the population, ensuring the material and spiritual needs of citizens, speakers at the meeting noted that significant funds of the State Budget for 2025 will be directed to the development of the social sphere, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper wrote on Monday.

In particular, it was emphasized that the main goal of social policy in 2025 will remain the creation of conditions for improving the standard and quality of life of people and the efficiency of employment of the population through modernization and the organization of new jobs; strengthening health and increasing life expectancy; increasing education, intellectual and cultural potential; activating youth policy; ensuring social protection of the population.

Touching upon the topic of wages and incomes of the population, the speakers noted that the policy pursued in Turkmenistan in this area provides for flexible regulation of wages, incomes and is aimed at a steady increase in well-being and improving the living conditions of the population. In accordance with the decree of the President of Turkmenistan, in 2025, another increase in wages for public sector employees, pensions, state benefits, as well as student scholarships is envisaged.

Certain volumes of capital investments are directed to the construction of housing, social and cultural facilities.

For 2025, measures are planned to support entrepreneurship, increase the volume of locally produced goods, and ensure food abundance in domestic markets. Work will continue to increase the share of the private sector in the structure of the country's economy.

It was also noted that the main financial document of the state is aimed at further successful implementation of large-scale reforms and strengthening the national economy. Its segments such as the oil and gas industry, the agro-industrial complex, transport, communications, construction, textile and food industries will be further developed next year thanks to the state's successful course on diversifying the national economy. The construction of important transport, communications and production infrastructure facilities will continue at an accelerated pace. According to the conclusion of the deputies who unanimously voted for the adoption of the draft law of Turkmenistan on the State Budget of the country for 2025, this document is based on a competent calculation, supported by the resource potential of the state and society and will serve to further improve the standard of living of the people.
