President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov highly appreciated the results of the official visit to Malaysia and the talks with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

«We highly appreciate the results of the visit to Malaysia: the agreements reached and important documents adopted will significantly deepen bilateral relations and realize the enormous potential for cooperation in trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other areas», Serdar Berdimuhamedov said at a press conference after talks with Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim. «The talks held today cover a wide range of cooperation, in particular, they showed the interest of the parties in establishing and expanding trade and economic ties.

 In this regard, we see great prospects for joint work on the implementation of projects in such areas as energy, transport and communications, construction, oil and gas processing, chemical industry, high technology, innovative urban development, tourism and others», Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.

«In the field of economic cooperation, Turkmenistan expresses interest in intensifying interaction with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations», the President added.

«During the talks, we noted the accumulated positive experience of bilateral relations and the existing opportunities for increasing investment. The activities of the Malaysian state oil and gas company Petronas Carigali, which has been successfully operating in our country for many years, serve as an example of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation», Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
