Turkmenistan attracts the largest volume of foreign direct investment from the United Arab Emirates among Central Asian countries. Our country accounts for 65.4% of all UAE investments in the region, which amounts to 8 billion US dollars. Such data is provided by the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).

Following Turkmenistan, the largest recipients of UAE investments were Uzbekistan (2.2 billion US dollars, or 17.85% of the total) and Kazakhstan (1.5 billion US dollars, or 12.3%).

The rapid development of economic ties between the countries indicates the growing interest of the UAE in cooperation with Central Asian states, including in strategically important sectors.
