Preparations have begun in Turkmenistan for the International Scientific Conference on Environmental Aspects of Hydrocarbon Resources Production (TESC 2025), which will be held in Ashgabat on June 5, 2025, World Environment Day, the Turkmen Energy Forum reports.
The TESC 2025 conference, organized by the State Concerns "Turkmengas" and "Turkmennebit", is designed to accelerate progress at the intersection of energy production and environmental responsibility. The forum will become a leading platform for promoting innovation and international cooperation in the field of sustainable development of the hydrocarbon sector.
The participation of international organizations such as the UN, OSCE, World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), International Energy Agency (IEA) and International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) will ensure that the discussions are integrated into the global context of sustainable development.
TESC 2025 will bring together government officials, academic experts, business leaders and representatives of international environmental organizations from around the world. Their common goal is to develop practical solutions for environmentally responsible hydrocarbon production in order to provide the global energy market with reliable, sustainable and clean energy.
The motto of the upcoming conference is “Reliable, Sustainable, Clean Energy”, embodying the desire for an environmentally responsible future. In this regard, the importance of the transnational TAPI gas pipeline is emphasized. Speaking at the International Conference “International Year of Peace and Trust: the Role of Interregional Cooperation in Ensuring Sustainable Development” on March 19, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag emphasized the important geopolitical and geoeconomic significance of the TAPI project. “The Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline is one of the significant projects. Its goal is to provide countries with a total population of 1 billion 750 million people with natural gas in the modern era,” Hero-Arkadag noted.
