Following the visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Japan, a solid package of cooperation documents was signed. The signing ceremony of bilateral documents took place on April 15 after Serdar Berdimuhamedov's meeting with representatives of Japanese business structures, TDH reports.

In particular, the State Concern "Turkmenchemistry" signed three framework agreements with a group of Japanese companies:

- With the group of companies "Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd." (Japan), "Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri Inşaat Sanaýi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi" (Turkey) and "Itochu Corporation" (Japan) - on cooperation in the design, procurement and turnkey construction of the second gas-to-gasoline processing plant in the Akhal region of Turkmenistan.

- With the group of companies "Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd." (Japan), "Gap Inşaat Yatirim ve Diş Ticaret Anonim Şirketi" (Turkey) and "Mitsubishi Corporation" (Japan) - on cooperation in the design, procurement and turnkey construction of a urea plant with a capacity of 1 million 155 thousand tons per year in the village of Kiyanly in the Balkan region of Turkmenistan.

- With the group of companies "Toyo Engineering Corporation" (Japan) and "Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri Inşaat Sanaýi ve Ticaret A.Ş." (Turkey) - on cooperation in the overhaul of the Kiyanly polymer plant in Turkmenistan.

In addition, a framework agreement on cooperation on projects to convert open-loop power plants to combined cycle operation was signed between the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan and Sumitomo Corporation (Japan).

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Japan Export and Investment Insurance Agency.

A number of memorandums of understanding were also signed between departments and organizations of Turkmenistan and Japanese companies.
