Korean company to build chemical complex for mineral fertilizer production in Turkmenistan

Korean company Daewoo Engineering & Construction will build a new complex for the production of mineral fertilizers in Turkmenistan. This is envisaged by the decree of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, according to which the State Concern "Turkmenchemistry" is allowed to conclude a contract with this company.
The contract with Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd provides for the design and construction of a production complex for the production of 350 thousand tons of superphosphate and 100 thousand tons of ammonium sulfate per year in the structure of the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant named after S.A. Niyazov.
As noted in the decree, the contract is aimed at providing domestic agricultural producers with the necessary phosphorus fertilizers and the production of new types of mineral fertilizers.
