The Galkynyş gas field, known worldwide for its natural gas resources, today serves as the most reliable source of “blue fuel”. The far-sighted initiatives of our Hero-Arkadag for the phased development of this gas field are now being successfully implemented by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Gas workers of the Türkmengaz State Concern are drilling production wells at Galkynyş in accordance with international practice, using high technologies. Thus, the number of productive wells and the volume of hydrocarbon raw materials, produced at the gas field, increase.

Recently, gas workers of the Türkmengazburawlaýyş Directorate of the Türkmengaz State Concern have successfully completed drilling operations at the 264th production gas well at the Galkynyş gas field at a depth of 4,019 meters and have received an industrially significant inflow of natural gas in an underground productive layer 115 meters thick. According to experts, the flow rate of the production well is 2 million 240 thousand cubic meters of natural gas a day.

The successful completion of well drilling by our domestic specialists and the significant contribution of young gas workers to the achieved success along with experienced drillers is a source of pride. The maximal provision of the Concern’s gas workers with high-quality products and technological equipment for drilling and commissioning gas wells with full completion of construction, established at the state level, contributes to the implementation of work in full compliance with technological requirements and according to the schedule.

Thanks to the support provided by the head of state, casing and tubing pipes from the leading Japanese company Sumitomo and wellhead equipment and column heads from the Cameron Company, which correspond to the geological and technological features of the Galkynyş gas field, were widely used in drilling and construction of this gas well. Thus, the technical indicators of the wells in this gas field, on the one hand, attract the attention of the world’s leading manufacturers, and on the other hand, are of great interest to natural gas consuming countries and large international investors.

“This is a great achievement of our gas workers, each of whom has made a worthy contribution to this cause. Among them, I would especially like to note the efforts of drilling brigade foreman Muhammet Taymazov, drillers Parahat Gurdov and Araz Avezov, driller Perman Akmayev, driller assistants Chary Annamamedov and Galandar Galandarov and others,” Guvanch Gurdov, Chief Geologist of the Türkmengazburawlaýyş Directorate, says. Currently, the Concern’s gas workers, in accordance with the planned schedule, are also successfully drilling the 110th, 231st, 253rd, 260th and 261st production gas wells at the Galkynyş gas field.
