Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a congratulatory telegram on June 29 to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday, noted his personal contribution to strengthening Russian-Turkmen relations.

"Dear Gurbanguly Myalikgulyevich, please accept my warmest congratulations on your birthday.

It is difficult to overestimate your personal contribution to strengthening Russian-Turkmen relations.
