Thematic exhibitions will be organized during the third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which will be held in August in the national tourist zone "Avaza", to present the achievements of Turkmenistan and the states participating in the forum, the TDH agency reports.

The exhibitions will be located along modular corridors that will unite the facilities of the conference complex. The expositions will demonstrate successes in various areas of development of the participating countries, and will also show the life of the Turkmen people.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, during a working visit to the Balkan region and familiarization with the preparations for the conference, noted the enormous political, economic, social and humanitarian significance of the upcoming forum.

Hero-Arkadag emphasized the special contribution of Turkmenistan to the expansion of international partnership, primarily in the context of the implementation of large-scale long-term strategies, programs and projects of the UN.

Turkmenistan has extensive experience in hosting major international events under the auspices of the UN. At the initiative of the country, the first UN Global Conference on Sustainable Transport was held in Ashgabat in 2016, and in 2022 – the Conference of Ministers of Transport of Landlocked Developing Countries. The upcoming conference in August will be another important event in the framework of cooperation with the UN.

“In general, these events clearly reveal the main aspiration of Turkmenistan – to successfully solve the tasks arising from the program documents of the Community of Nations, as well as to coordinate efforts in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals,” the TDH report says.
