The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the preparations for the upcoming III UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries during his working visit to the Balkan velayat on July 9. This was reported by TDH.
Hero-Arkadag visited the Congress Center in the Avaza National Tourist Zone on the Caspian Sea coast, where the main events of the international forum will be held. He emphasized the importance of ensuring a high level of preparation of the premises and creating conditions for the effective work of foreign delegations. The head of the Halk Maslahaty gave relevant recommendations on equipping and decorating the halls in accordance with modern standards.
During the boat trip, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the progress of work on the development of tourism infrastructure in the Avaza zone. The Head of the Halk Maslahaty also inspected the preparation of hotels where the conference participants will be accommodated, and facilities for holding cultural and humanitarian events.
The forum plans to organize a unique friendship festival with the participation of representatives from Central Asia and other countries. As Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted, the conference will be one of the main events of the International Year of Peace and Trust, declared by the UN General Assembly at the initiative of Turkmenistan.
The National Leader held a working meeting with the heads of relevant departments, during which issues of accelerating the pace of preparatory work were discussed. He emphasized the need for high-quality performance of all construction and repair work within the established time frame.
Hero-Arkadag also instructed to ensure wide coverage of the international forum in the media, including daily publications on the issues under consideration and decisions made.
