Turkmenistan’s activities to further strengthen its position in the global energy sector and to demonstrate its commitment to international environment protection obligations deserve special attention. Currently, our country cooperates with such authoritative international organizations as the International Energy Agency (IEA), the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the International Energy Charter (IEC) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), putting forward advanced initiatives in the field of developing a green economy, efficiently and safely using energy resources and ensuring environmental sustainability.
This cooperation covers not only relations at the state level, but also a wide range of scientific and educational areas. Improving the skills of young specialists, familiarizing them with world experience and involving them in environmental research are also among the main areas of this cooperation.
A striking example of such broad international relations is the international seminar held in Bratislava (Slovakia) from April 7 to 10 this year. Organized within the framework of the European Union’s Erasmus+ Program and entitled “Connecting Environmental Issues, Public Needs and Good Governance in Education and Employment in Central Asia”, this seminar was an important step in developing the potential of the younger generation and introducing new ideas.
Turkmenistan’s international environmental initiatives and its activities in the field of green economy are aimed not only at achieving domestic development, but also at promoting global prosperity. Turkmenistan’s proposals and initiatives in this area find broad support at the international level. The country’s regular statements within the UN and other authoritative organizations on issues of ensuring environmental security and addressing climate change issues testify to the responsible role of our country in the international community.
As a result, in the period of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, Turkmenistan continues to successfully participate in international cooperation, which further strengthens its position in the global economic and environmental space. The work, carried out to ensure environmental stability, to develop green energy and to expand opportunities for the younger generation to receive a world-class education, is a reliable foundation for progress in all spheres of our country’s life.
