A new glass workshop with a capacity of 100 tons of products per day was commissioned on September 8 at the industrial complex in the northern part of the capital of Turkmenistan. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony, TDH reports.
The new workshop belongs to the Türkmen aýna önümleri plant. Only local raw materials will be used for glass production: quartz sand, dolomite, limestone and sodium sulfate, large deposits of which are located in our country.
The enterprise is equipped with high-tech equipment from global manufacturers, including automated quality control and assurance systems, which ensures compliance of manufactured products with international standards, which provides finished products with access to international markets.
The project was implemented in compliance with international environmental standards. Modern waste management systems have been introduced to prevent soil and water pollution. Innovative solutions for optimizing gas and energy consumption increase energy efficiency, reduce costs and increase the competitiveness of production. The plant's capacity allows it to fully meet the needs of the domestic market, as well as export its products.
The new production will also contribute to the development of other sectors of the economy, meeting the needs of the food and pharmaceutical industries for high-quality glass containers, thereby reducing the cost of production and improving its quality.
In addition, the workshop will provide hundreds of new jobs.
The workshop was awarded certificates from the companies that participated in the project. Among them: a certificate confirming the compliance of the installed equipment with international quality standards, in particular German ones, from Horn Glass Industries; a certificate confirming the compliance of the workshop's technological equipment with international quality, environmental management and safety standards from Vetromeccanica Srl (Italy); a certificate for the implementation of an integrated management system that meets international standards from Bottero (Italy).
