The XXVI Conference of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World was held in Ashgabat, in the Center of Public Organizations of Turkmenistan, on September 13, the MIC of Turkmenistan reports.

Representatives of the Turkmen diasporas from a number of foreign countries, as well as delegates from all regions of Turkmenistan, took part in the forum.

The agenda included a report on the work done and a discussion of the priority areas of the Association's activities, which provided an opportunity to discuss current issues, strengthen ties and promote the preservation of cultural heritage.

At the beginning of the event, the participants heard a welcoming message from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The head of state noted the key role of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World, founded in 1991, in uniting Turkmens living abroad. The President also emphasized that long-standing ties allow Turkmens around the world to preserve and pass on their native language, national traditions and spiritual and moral values ​​from generation to generation.

Today, 27 branches of the Association operate in 15 countries, including Russia, Great Britain, Germany, Sweden, Ukraine, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, the delegates were informed in detail about large-scale socio-economic programs successfully implemented in the country, as well as about major international projects.

Then, a ceremony was held to award members of the Association with certificates of honor.

At the end of the conference of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World, its participants adopted a thank-you address to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in which they congratulated the head of state on the 34th anniversary of the independence of the Fatherland. The message also expressed deep gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and Hero-Arkadag for strengthening the economic power and international authority of the Motherland, great attention to the activities of the Turkmen diaspora abroad.

An exhibition of decorative and applied arts was also organized within the framework of the conference. The conference ended with performances by cultural masters who presented their song and musical numbers.
