Industry meeting summarized the fuel and gas sector's performance for the first nine months of 2025

On October 4, a reporting meeting was held at the Central Building of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan to review the performance of companies in the sector for the first nine months of this year, the International Year of Peace and Trust. Participants discussed the objectives set by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the country's oil and gas sector at the October 3 digital meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which summarized the performance of all economic sectors for the current period.
Opening the reporting meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov noted that, through the efforts of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the state provides regular support for the improvement and consistent development of the oil and gas industry and the modernization of its material and technical infrastructure. The Vice-Chairman also emphasized the need to effectively address the challenges facing the domestic fuel and gas sector.
During the meeting, progress reports were presented by Maksat Babayev, Chairman of the State Concern “Turkmengas“; Guvanch Agajanov, Chairman of the State Concern “Turkmennebit”; Gurbangeldy Garlyev, Chairman of the State Corporation “Turkmengeology”; and heads of the complex's associations, departments, and enterprises.
The presentations covered information on oil, gas condensate, and liquefied gas production in the country; digital-based geological exploration; intensified work at the Galkynysh gas field; accelerating construction of the Serhetabat-Herat TAPI section, known as Arkadagyň Ak ýoly; ensuring the full and uninterrupted operation of production facilities; ensuring timely seasonal work, taking into account weather conditions; accelerating construction; and other relevant areas.
Vice-Chairman Batyr Amanov noted the importance of high-level preparations for the XXX International Conference and Exhibition "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2025," which will be held in Ashgabat from October 22 to 24. Amanov also emphasized the importance of consistently developing international cooperation in the energy sector, the need for continuous monitoring of major projects in the country's oil and gas sector, the widespread adoption of innovative technologies, and the timely fulfillment of production plans. In this regard, specific tasks facing the State Concerns “Turkmennebit” and “Turkmengas”, and the State Corporation “Turkmengeology” were identified.
Vice-Chairman Batyr Amanov wished the complex's employees success in effectively achieving the objectives set by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen People – Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the development of the oil and gas industry.
Ashyrguly Begliyev, Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on Oil and Gas, also participated in the reporting meeting.
