The "Avaza Political Declaration" resolution was considered and unanimously adopted by the United Nations General Assembly during the 18th plenary meeting of the 80th session in New York, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The document, co-sponsored by 57 states, was adopted under agenda item 13, "Integrated and coordinated implementation of and follow-up to the outcomes of major United Nations conferences and summits in the economic, social, and related fields."

The Avaza Political Declaration Resolution reflects the key conclusions and strategic directions enshrined in the Avaza Action Programme for 2024–2034, adopted following the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone and chaired by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The document emphasizes the importance of international solidarity in strengthening the economic potential and integrating landlocked countries into the global economy, and also emphasizes the importance of sustainable transport, the development of digital and energy infrastructure, trade, and the environment.

The adoption of the Avaza Political Declaration Resolution was a significant affirmation of Turkmenistan's high international standing and recognition of its leading role in promoting the principles of permanent neutrality, peace, trust, and cooperation globally.
