A convoy carrying humanitarian aid departed Turkmenistan for neighboring Afghanistan. Four trucks departed for the border town of Kerki, through which the cargo will be delivered to the Afghan people, the Turkmenistan International Information Center reported on November 7.

The aid, intended for victims of the recent earthquake, included essential goods: medicines, medical supplies, textiles, and food products.

The humanitarian campaign was organized at the request of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the head of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need.

The aid is aimed at supporting the fraternal people, especially children, during this difficult time, the source noted.
