Today, the city of Arkadag is widely known worldwide as a major scientific, cultural and international center. Advanced architectural and urban planning techniques, smart city principles and green technologies were actively used in the construction of this unique city, which blends harmoniously into the mountainous landscape.

The preservation of the ecological state of the environment, biosphere diversity and the rational use of natural resources remain a focus worldwide. Therefore, to preserve the natural beauty in the Arkadag outskirts and to implement the smart city conception, green technologies have been widely applied through the introduction of digital and intelligent systems. The Arkadagly Ýaşlar Program, which forms the basis for the functioning of the smart city, has been introduced in the modern residential buildings erected in this city. It is of particular pride that this program is the result of the work of Turkmen youth. Its main goal is to ensure a comfortable life for every family. For example, if a family member turns on the television from a tablet, a server dims the bright lights in the house and closes the curtains. The temperature and humidity in the flat are also regulated automatically. Air conditioners, humidifiers and robotic vacuum cleaners that are activated by a room cleaning command are particularly noteworthy. Smart homes are also equipped with notification devices. The key feature of these devices is that they operate on a motion-activated principle, turning on lights when motion is detected. However, if there is no motion for a long period, they automatically turn off the lights.

Such devices are also installed in the water supply system. In the event of a water leak, they transmit a voice message to residents, send an SMS to the houseowner’s mobile phone and automatically shut off the water supply. These devices can also operate autonomously. All this contributes to energy efficiency, which is crucial for creating an ecosystem and maintaining environmental well-being. The city’s wide, spacious avenues, streets and roundabouts are equipped with modern lighting, video surveillance and control systems. New electric buses and electric taxis are designed to provide high-quality and culturally appropriate service to residents and visitors of Arkadag. The green technologies used in the new city are crucial for the development of the country’s ecological economy and the ecological culture of society.

The annual mass planting of tree saplings has become a noble tradition in our country. Every spring and fall, special campaigns are held to ensure the ecological well-being of the city of Arkadag. Along with the construction of cultural, social and industrial facilities, cultural and park areas have been created, and fountains have been installed in the city. This demonstrates that when constructing the new city, environmental requirements were strictly adhered to, and principles of creating a clean air environment to support the health of residents and their happy, prosperous lives were taken into account.

Arkadag City, built on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, has caused great interest worldwide. Certificates of appreciation, quality certificates and diplomas, awarded to this unique smart city project by international organizations and foreign universities, confirm the high standard of exemplary work accomplished in this truly unique smart city.
