The state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan has concluded

On Tuesday, November 25, the second day of the state visit of the head of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan, high-level talks were held between Presidents Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, TDH reports.
The talks were held in narrow and expanded formats with the participation of government delegations from both countries. As noted, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan are constructively cooperating politically and diplomatically on pressing global issues, including ensuring peace and security, strengthening energy stability, developing transport connectivity, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, and combating climate change.
Speaking about partnership in trade and economic matters, President Berdimuhamedov noted the stable positive dynamics of bilateral trade.
The head of Turkmenistan confirmed his readiness for further cooperation with Kazakhstan in the energy sector and his openness to exchanging experience in improving the efficiency of hydrocarbon production and environmental safety. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of expanding partnerships in the electric power, chemical, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, textile, petrochemical, gas processing, and urban development sectors.
Transport and logistics, the digital economy, and innovation were identified as strategic areas of partnership.
Following the meeting, a large package of bilateral documents was signed aimed at developing bilateral cooperation across a wide range of areas.
Kassym-Jomert Tokayev awarded Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov Kazakhstan's highest state award, the Order of the Golden Eagle, for his contribution to strengthening friendly relations, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership between the two countries, the comprehensive development of interstate ties, and the rapprochement of fraternal peoples.
During his visit, Serdar Berdimuhamedov also visited the Alem.AI international artificial intelligence center in Astana. At the end of the visit, the President of Turkmenistan departed from Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport to Ashgabat, where he was met by the country's officials.
