The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan has published a production calendar for 2026, containing information on working days, days off, and holidays. This calendar serves as the official basis for calculating wages, processing work permits, and scheduling enterprise operations.

Working hours are calculated based on a five-day, 40-hour workweek, assuming an eight-hour workday; a six-day, 40-hour workweek, assuming a seven-hour workday; and a six-day, 36-hour workweek, assuming a six-hour workday.

In accordance with Article 62 of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan, when preparing work schedules, it is necessary to take into account that the duration of night work is reduced by one hour. Therefore, for employees working three shifts during a five-day workweek with two days off, the annual working hours are reduced by one hour for each night shift. Night work hours are equalized with daytime hours when required by production conditions, particularly in continuous production, as well as in shift work with a six-day workweek with one day off. Therefore, for the purpose of converting hourly wage rates into monthly ones, the average monthly working hours (in hours) in 2026 will be:

for a 40-hour workweek – 166.9

for a 36-hour workweek – 150.5.

The following holidays have been declared days off in 2026:

January 1 – New Year;

March 8 – International Women's Day;

March 20 – Eid al-Fitr;

March 21-22 – National Spring Day;

May 18 – Constitution and National Flag Day;

May 27, 28, and 29 – Eid al-Adha;

September 27 – Independence Day;

October 6 – Remembrance Day;

December 12 – International Day of Neutrality;
