On December 12, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, TDH reports.

Underscoring that Turkey is currently one of Turkmenistan's key trade and economic partners, Berdimuhamedov noted the extensive opportunities for developing constructive cooperation in fuel and energy, transport and communications, agriculture, and investment, both bilaterally and regionally.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that expanding and strengthening the strategic partnership with Turkey with a long-term focus is a constant priority of Turkmenistan's foreign policy. The two countries share centuries-old ties of friendship and brotherhood, which provide a solid foundation for deepening interstate dialogue at the highest level.

The two leaders also discussed opportunities for expanding cultural and humanitarian dialogue between the peoples of both countries.

The head of state expressed his firm confidence that the results of the Turkish President's visit to Turkmenistan will give new impetus to the expansion of bilateral relations.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan reportedly arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the International Forum on Peace and Trust, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.

"Participation in this prestigious forum demonstrates your support for Turkmenistan's neutrality policy and the enormous importance you attach to the principles of peace," said Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Recep Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey highly values ​​the peaceful foreign policy pursued by fraternal Turkmenistan and its achievements in all areas.

At the end of the meeting, the two leaders expressed mutual confidence in the further strengthening of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Turkey.
