The Presidents of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation discussed prospects for multifaceted cooperation

Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 12, TDH reports.

Emphasizing that the development of strategic cooperation with the Russian Federation remains a priority of Turkmenistan's foreign policy, Berdimuhamedov noted that the traditionally friendly relations between our countries are based on long-standing ties of friendship, trust, and mutual understanding.

As noted, the development of trade and economic ties occupies a special place on the agenda of Turkmen-Russian cooperation. Furthermore, the cultural and humanitarian sphere is an important part of interstate cooperation. In this regard, considerable attention is paid to partnerships in science, education, healthcare, and culture.

In this regard, the head of state confirmed Turkmenistan's readiness for further comprehensive and multifaceted cooperation with the Russian Federation and expressed confidence in the further development and strengthening of Turkmen-Russian relations for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.

Vladimir Putin participated in the International Peace and Security Forum, dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, International Neutrality Day, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality. As noted, the Russian President's participation in this forum confirms his support for Turkmenistan's policy of neutrality.

Congratulating the head of state on the successful holding of the Forum and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, the Russian President praised our country's foreign policy.

As noted, Turkmenistan's policy, based on positive neutrality, contributes to stability in the region and creates favorable conditions for the development of bilateral relations with many countries, including Russia.

At the end of the meeting, Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Vladimir Putin wished each other all the best.
