On January 8, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan, Bandar Wilsonbabu, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country reported on its website.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the further development of Turkmen-Indian relations in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The diplomats discussed issues related to the organization of visits and meetings at the highest state level this year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted.
The possibility of mutual visits between the heads of the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and India was also discussed. In this regard, the preliminary agenda for political consultations scheduled for the near future was discussed.
Furthermore, the significance of the work of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Indian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technological Cooperation was noted, and the importance of holding its next meeting in the near future was emphasized.
During the meeting, draft documents planned for signing during upcoming meetings and visits were also reviewed.
