Results of Turkmenistan's Fuel and Energy Complex Work for January 2026 Summarized at Industry Meeting

On February 7, a reporting meeting dedicated to the results of work for the first month of 2026 - a year passing in the country under the motto "The Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of the Purposeful Winged Runners" - was held at the Central Building of Turkmenistan's Oil and Gas Complex. The meeting discussed the tasks set for the country's oil and gas complex by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the February 6 digital meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. That Cabinet meeting had summarized the work done by all sectors of the economy in January and discussed specific ways to further advance work in this direction.

Opening the reporting meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov particularly emphasized that under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the state is creating all conditions and consistently modernizing the material and technical base to improve the industry's activity and ensure its sequential development based on modern achievements. This, in turn, defines the specific tasks facing the domestic Fuel and Energy Complex (FEC).

During the meeting, speeches were delivered by State Minister of Turkmenistan – Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmengas" Maksat Babayev; General Director of "TAPI Pipeline Company Limited" Muhammetmyrat Amanov; Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmennebit" Guvanch Agadzhanov; Chairman of the State Corporation "Turkmengeology" Gurbangeldi Garlyyev; as well as heads of associations, directorates, and enterprises of the complex, who reported on the work done during the reporting period.

The speeches presented information on oil, gas condensate, and liquefied gas production in the country; the development of international cooperation; intensification of work at the "Galkynysh" gas field; proper control over the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India international gas pipeline; uninterrupted operation of industrial facilities in various weather conditions; increasing the efficiency of oil and gas production; accelerating the pace of construction work; and other important areas. The speakers outlined the tasks set by the head of state for the enterprises of the fuel and energy complex regarding the sequential strengthening of the oil and gas industry's resource base through the discovery of new promising fields, the use of digital technologies in geological exploration, further diversification of the fuel and energy sector, and ways to implement them.

During the meeting, Vice-Chairman Batyr Amanov emphasized the importance of constant monitoring of major projects being implemented in the country's oil and gas complex, the widespread introduction of modern technologies into the industry's work, the timely and high-quality fulfillment of production plans, the study of scientific innovations in the industry, preparation for important events and significant dates, and the need to improve the qualifications of specialists in this field.

Also, the Vice-Chairman, having outlined the specific tasks facing the State Concerns "Turkmengas" and "Turkmennebit," and the State Corporation "Turkmengeology," wished the workers of the FEC success in developing the oil and gas industry and effectively solving the tasks set by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The reporting meeting was also attended by the Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on Oil and Gas Affairs, Ashyrguly Begliyev.
