At the auction, the amount of foreign exchange transactions exceeded $57 million USD
110 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
Entrepreneurs from the United Arab Emirates, Scotland, Afghanistan purchased for foreign currency liquefied gas and motor gasoline produced at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, as well as diesel fuel from the Seydi oil refinery.
Also, cotton yarn and one-colored and jacquard terry products were sold for foreign currency. Purchasing countries: Russia, UAE, Turkey, Ukraine, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan.
The total amount of transactions exceeded $57 million USD.
For manat funds, buyers from the UAE, Turkey, Pakistan, Kazakhstan purchased cotton yarn. The total amount of transactions amounted to over 67 million manat.
For the local market, domestic businessmen purchased high-density polyethylene produced by the State Concern «Turkmengas», as well as cotton fiber and handmade carpets for a total amount of about 30 million 618 thousand manat.
