The first meeting of the Central Asia-Afghanistan Consultative Dialogue was held in Kabul. The Turkmen delegation was led by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Afghanistan, Hoja Ovezov, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a joint assessment of the opportunities and challenges in relations between Afghanistan and the countries of Central Asia, issues of expanding economic and transit cooperation, and the development of a comprehensive roadmap for regional integration.

In his speech, Ovezov provided detailed information on the practical steps taken by the Turkmen side to facilitate Afghanistan's economic recovery.

Meeting participants expressed support for the continuation of the Central Asia-Afghanistan Consultative Dialogue.

An interest was also expressed in close cooperation on joint projects related to the reconstruction of Afghanistan and the country's integration into the global system.

As is well known, one of the largest international energy projects of our time is the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) gas pipeline, initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and successfully implemented under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Currently, construction of the key 153-kilometer section of the pipeline—Serhetabat–Herat, known as "Arkadagyň ak ýoly"—is continuing at an accelerated pace in Afghanistan.

Speaking about the TAPI gas pipeline project, Hero Arkadag repeatedly emphasized its significant social significance. Experts estimate that the construction of the pipeline and associated infrastructure systems, new institutions, and enterprises will create 12,000 jobs in Afghanistan and address a number of key humanitarian issues in the country. It is also important that the TAPI project aims to provide natural gas to a number of countries with a total population of over 1.7 billion people.
