A Ceremonial Meeting Dedicated to the Fourth Stage of Galkynysh Field Development Held in Ashgabat

On April 18, a celebratory meeting dedicated to the launch of the fourth stage of development of the super-giant Galkynysh gas field was held in the Central Building of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan. The event coincided with the start of large-scale drilling of production wells and the construction of a modern commercial gas treatment facility with a capacity of 10 billion cubic meters per year. The heads of the country's leading departments and scientific community participated in the meeting. The following delivered reports:

As was emphasized during the presentations, the contract signed in March of this year between the Turkmengas state concern and the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) served as the foundation for the implementation of the current stage. This agreement provides for the turnkey design and construction of key industrial infrastructure facilities at the field.
Under the wise leadership of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero-Arkadag, and the highly respected President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the project has acquired a comprehensive character. The fourth stage includes not only the drilling of new wells but also the construction of gas gathering, gas cleaning, and gas processing units. The program also includes the installation of gas pipelines, the construction of external utility systems, and the construction of social and amenity facilities for staff.
Meeting participants discussed in detail the socioeconomic significance of the project. Implementation of the planned projects will:
• Create 1,041 new jobs, ensuring employment for the population;
• Significantly increase gas exports to international markets;
• Build a foundation for further sustainable economic development and a systematic improvement in the standard of living for citizens.
Speakers unanimously noted that the state programs for industrialization and modernization initiated by the head of state open broad horizons for fundamental improvements in the oil and gas sector. At the conclusion of the official part, words of sincere gratitude were addressed to Arkadagly Hero Serdar and Hero-Arkadag for the large-scale reforms aimed at ensuring the prosperity and bright future of the country. The festive atmosphere of the event was enhanced by artists from the Cultural and Business Center of the State Concern Turkmengas. Their vibrant musical performances provided unforgettable experiences for oil and gas workers and guests, providing a fitting conclusion to this landmark event.
