Registration for participation in the XXXI International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – OGT 2026” is now open. The conference under the motto “Energy. Partnership. Progress” will take place on October 21–23, 2026 in Ashgabat. It will bring together the leading representatives of the global energy industry, heads of the largest companies, investors, financial institutions and technology providers to determine further areas of international energy cooperation.
The key direction of the conference agenda will be the further development of the super-giant gas field "Galkynysh" - one of the largest in the world. Recent ceremony of the fourth phase of its development, held with the participation of the national leader of the Turkmen people, chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the first deputy prime minister of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Dean Xuesiang said, emphasized the strategic importance of this project within the framework of bilateral energy cooperation.
As part of the 2026 programme, key development priorities of the energy sector will be considered, including the phased development of the Galkynyş field, the implementation of the TAPI pipeline project, the development of offshore blocks of the Turkmen sector of the Caspian sea, as well as the modernization of mining, processing and transport infrastructure.
Particular attention will be paid to the issues of energy resources monetization, the development of the gas chemical and petrochemical industries, the production of products with high value added and diversification of export destinations.
The agenda of the conference will also reflect modern technological trends, including digital transformation of the industry, the use of artificial intelligence, improving operational efficiency and the introduction of advanced environmental solutions. OGT 2026 will become a platform for discussing methane reduction, energy efficiency, enhancing carbon capture and storage technologies, and developing hydrogen energy and renewable energy sources. These priorities correspond to the active participation of Turkmenistan in the international climate agenda.
The conference program provides for a high-level plenary meeting, a ministerial round table, panel discussions with the participation of leaders of leading energy companies, industry and investment sessions, as well as an international exhibition with more than 100 companies.
