On April 27, Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Malaysia's Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Mohd Suhaimi Bin Ahmad Tajuddin, according to the country's Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that this year marks the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's cooperation with the Malaysian company Petronas, which has accumulated extensive experience in the oil and gas sector.

The diplomats confirmed the effectiveness of their educational cooperation. Hundreds of Turkmen students are studying at Malaysian universities. Under an agreement with PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd., cooperation is underway with the Petronas University of Technology. Turkmen specialists are participating in trainings and seminars under the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed issues in the context of upcoming meetings at the highest state and government levels, the statement said.
