Last Friday, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via video link, at which the results of the work of the national economy sectors, including the oil and gas complex, for five months of this year were summed up.In particular, the Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Myratgeldi Meredov reported on the results of the January-May work carried out in supervised areas as part of the implementation of the Oil and Gas Industry Development Program for the period until 2030.The Vice-Chairman reported that the plan for oil and gas condensate production was fulfilled by 108.3 %, natural and associated gas - by 100.4 %, oil refining - by 102.5 %, gasoline production - by 109.2 %, diesel fuel - by 103.6 %. The growth rate of liquefied gas production amounted to 118 %, of mastered investments - 121.5 %.After hearing the report, the President addressed the Vice-Chairman specific instructions to ensure the stable operation of industry enterprises, the efficient use of their resource base and export potential, and the development of international cooperation in these areas.The head of the state emphasized the need to improve the structure and management system of the production units of the complex and attract investments for the construction of new facilities and in the planned large projects, and return the funds to produce manufactured products.Noting that at present the prices of oil and oil products in international markets have significantly decreased, the President ordered to determine a strategy for selling these products to foreign consumers.
