The team of the Koytendag Party of the Turkmen Geological Exploration Expedition of the State Corporation «Turkmengeology» marks the year «Turkmenistan – Homeland of Peace and Trust» with high production results.  Currently, the main activity of the enterprise is focused on finding groundwater, clarifying its reserves, as well as operating wells in order to provide sufficient water to the settlements of Lebap region.

Within the framework of the General Program for providing the settlements of Turkmenistan with clean drinking water, a number of water treatment complexes have been built here.  Work on the search for drinking water resources in the territory of the Dovletli and Danev etraps of the Lebap region took on a wide scale.

These days, the Turkmen geological exploration expedition begins to study the deposits of clay (opaque) on the territory of the Koytendag etrap.  This grade of clay is a valuable raw material in the production of bricks, tiles, cement and other building materials.

It should be noted that in recent years a number of modern industrial enterprises for the production of building materials have been commissioned in this region.  One of these facilities is the Lebap Cement Plant with a production capacity of 1 million tons of cement per year.  The search and identification of opaque deposits for the plant was carried out by the specialists of the prospecting party.

In the future, it is planned to build new similar industrial enterprises, which, in turn, will require further intensification of the activities of prospectors of the earth's interior.
