The President transferred half of his salary to a charity fund to help children in need of care

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has transferred half of his monthly salary to a newly established Charity Fund to help children in need of care.

The decree on the establishment of this fund was signed by the Head of state on March 29, 2021. The fund's funds can be used to provide children with paid medical and educational services, provide them with opportunities for full-fledged recreation, as well as for other needs. At the same time, the Mejlis adopted a resolution on assigning the name of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.

On the same day, at a government meeting, the President announced his intention to be the first to make a contribution from his earnings to this Charity Fund, noting that compatriots who want to help such children can also transfer funds from their earnings.

On the basis of the Presidential decree, the corresponding bank accounts were opened in national and foreign currency.
