Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries intends to launch the production of Jet A-1 aviation fuel. This is the European analogue of the TS-1 aviation fuel produced at the plant.
Jet A-1 is intended for use in gas turbine engines of aircraft in Europe and North America. It is included in international documents and manuals for the operation of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
This type of fuel is technologically different from the TS-1 aviation kerosene used in the civil aviation of our country. Jet fuel undergoes additional hydrotreating, it contains antistatic and stabilizing additives, it is more environmentally friendly, the flash point is 10 degrees higher.
The choice of the company that will help to establish the production of new products at the enterprise will be carried out on a competitive basis. Earlier, the TCOR announced an international tender for the production of jet fuel of the Jet A-1 brand based on the existing installation for the production of aviation kerosene and the TS-1 brand.
The TCOR includes two factories – in the cities of Turkmenbashi and Seydi. In two months of 2021, the TCOR produced 34 thousand 857 tons of aviation fuel.
