Pakistani leaders are interested in implementing joint energy projects with Turkmenistan

 The President and Prime Minister of Pakistan in their letters to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed their interest in promoting joint energy projects in South and Central Asia.

 “Pakistan highly appreciates the good relations established with Turkmenistan, which are based on the principles of mutual trust and consideration of each other's interests.  Our bilateral cooperation is of current importance in the context of promoting energy partnership and economic cooperation between South and Central Asia, which will contribute to the development and prosperity of the entire region,” the letter of the President of Pakistan Arif Alvi to the head of Turkmenistan, published today in the central media of our country, says.

 “I want to confirm Pakistan's readiness to consistently strengthen and deepen multifaceted cooperation with Turkmenistan,” Arif Alvi said in his letter to Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

 The message of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to the head of Turkmenistan says: “I want to confirm the firm determination of Pakistan to continue to strengthen partnership with Turkmenistan and deepen our bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.  I especially look forward to working with you to expand our participation in the trade and investment sectors”.

 The Prime Minister also noted that «the timely implementation of energy and other projects between the two countries will bring us closer to realizing our common vision of expanding ties and economic cooperation between South and Central Asia».

 In their messages, Arif Alvi and Shahbaz Sharif thanked Serdar Berdimuhamedov for his congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Turkmenistan.
