Ashgabat will host VI Caspian Summit on June 29

The VI Caspian Summit is scheduled for June 29 in Ashgabat. It will be preceded by a meeting of foreign ministers of the Caspian states (CMFA), at which diplomats will once again discuss the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the leaders of the five countries. This was stated on Wednesday at a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
She noted that the previous similar meeting of ministers was held in the city of Aktau (Kazakhstan) on August 11, 2018 on the eve of the V Caspian Summit, at which a historic document was signed – the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea.
At the Ministerial Council meeting in Ashgabat, it is planned to review cooperation in the Caspian Sea and discuss the modalities of further cooperation in preparation for the upcoming meeting of the presidents of the Caspian «five».
