The Results of Eight Months Reviewed

Today, at the central building of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan, a reporting meeting, devoted to the results of the work done over the past eight months of the year “The Era of the People with Arkadag”, was held. The meeting discussed the tasks set by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov before the oil and gas complex at an extended sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers, held on September 9 via digital video link and devoted to the results of the work done on the socioeconomic development of the country in January-August this year.  

At the reporting meeting, chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Sh. Abdrahmanov, the State Minister – Chairman of the Türkmengaz State Concern B. Amanov, the Chairman of the Türkmennebit State Concern G. Agajanov, the Chairman of the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation M. Roziyev, the Director General of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil and gas refineries D. Chishiyev, the Director General of CJSC Turkmen National Oil and Gas Company M. Pirliyev and heads of directorates and enterprises of the Complex delivered their speeches. 

The results of the work, done in January-August of the current year, and important aspects of the implementation of the Program of the development of the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan for the period up to 2030 were reflected in the speeches. The speakers dwelled in detail upon the tasks set by the esteemed President before the enterprises of the fuel and energy complex, in particular, on the targeted development of investments aimed at the structures of the complex, the widespread introduction of advanced technologies into production in order to efficiently use the country’s natural resources, the development of mutually beneficial cooperation with reliable foreign partners, the increase in the effectiveness of geological exploration and seismic and drilling operations, the discovery and development of new hydrocarbon deposits through the use of modern technologies and aspects of their implementation. 

 During the meeting, information on the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) transnational gas pipeline and on ongoing work related to the preparations for the XXVII International Conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2022”, scheduled to be held in Ashgabat on October 26-27, was heard. 

At the end of the meeting, summing up its results, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Sh. Abdrahmanov drew attention to the need for diligent work of each labor collective in order to ensure the stable development of the oil and gas industry, one of the leading sectors of the national economy, and noted that success and achievements would be a worthy gift to the main holiday of the year “The Era of the People with Arkadag” – the 31st anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan. 

In the reporting meeting, the Adviser to the President of Turkmenistan on oil and gas issues A. Begliyev took part.

President of Turkmenistan outlined the priorities for the development of the country's gas industry

Last Wednesday, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting in the administrative center of Lebap velayat, at which he heard reports from the heads of the country's fuel and energy complex and defined the tasks of developing the gas industry for the future, the State News Agency of the country reports.

Turkmenistan is one of the three leaders in the supply of gasoline to Uzbekistan

In January-November 2021, Uzbekistan imported 141.2 million liters of motor gasoline from Turkmenistan. This was reported by the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan. Thus, Turkmenistan ranks second in the supply of motor gasoline to the neighboring country.

Over 320 billion cubic meters of Turkmen gas supplied since the start of operation of the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline, – CNPC

Since the opening of the transnational Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline in 2009, over 320 billion cubic meters of Turkmen gas have been exported to the Celestial Empire. General director of the branch of the National Petroleum Corporation of China (CNPC) Chen Huailong stated this, the Watan news program of the Turkmen television reported.

New gas resources discovered in Lebap region of Turkmenistan

In the territories adjacent to the Malay and Nayip gas fields in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, a new dome was discovered in the lower layers of the Northern Dervush and Malay fields. Chairman of the State Corporation «Turkmengeology» Merdan Rozyev reported this to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a working meeting in Turkmenabat, the State Television and Radio Broadcasting of Turkmenistan reported.
