At the invitation of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to our country on October 20-21.
As noted at a meeting of the government of Turkmenistan on October 16, together with the Uzbek side, a draft Program of the visit was prepared, during which the signing of a package of bilateral documents is envisaged.
As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized, developing fruitful cooperation in a bilateral format, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan also interact constructively on a multilateral basis, within the framework of the UN and other authoritative international and regional organizations.
The head of Turkmenistan instructed the Vice-Chairman, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure a high organizational level of the forthcoming visit of the President of Uzbekistan to our country and the events planned within its framework, noting the importance of the next high-level talks, designed to give a new impetus to the further development of mutually beneficial Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation, which is of a strategic nature.
The focus of the upcoming high-level talks is the deepening of the Uzbek-Turkmen relations of strategic partnership at a new stage, increasing the volume of mutual trade, expanding cooperation in industry, energy and the chemical industry, agriculture, transport and logistics, continuing active cultural and humanitarian exchange, it is reported.
