International conference OGT-2022: investments, technologies, personnel for the fuel and energy complex

On Thursday, the International Conference «Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan» (OGT-2022) continued its work at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Representatives of government agencies, national and international companies, research centers and specialized universities, international organizations and diplomatic missions, experts and specialists actively participate in sessions and plenary sessions dedicated to discussing the most pressing topics in the development of the oil and gas industry.
On the second day of the forum, the topic “Investment opportunities of the onshore energy sector of Turkmenistan and new gas chemical projects” was discussed. Among the speakers of the session were representatives of the State Corporations «Turkmengeology» and «Turkmenchemistry», the State Concern «Turkmengas», heads of MITRO International, TAPI Pipeline Company Limited and others.
Also on Thursday, there was a panel session dedicated to the energy issues of the new era. Here, the participants considered the prospects for domestic and regional development in the energy sector and the environmental aspects of the development of hydrocarbon deposits. Special attention was paid to such issues as the transition to renewable energy sources and hydrogen technologies.
The Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, together with Chalik Energy, presented a new 10 MW hybrid wind-solar power plant in Western Turkmenistan. The Chairman of the Board of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan presented other investment projects recently signed with the Abu Dhabi Development Fund.
On Friday, October 28, the last session of the forum is dedicated to «Innovative technologies and know-how in oil and gas science and education». Within the framework of this session, the main tasks and achievements in the field of training highly qualified personnel for the oil and gas industry, including the development of scientific potential, as well as the role of research and development in the development of the oil and gas industry, are presented.
Specialists from research and development organizations presented their work. Representatives of scientific and educational circles shared their experience.
At noon on the same day, the award ceremony for the participants of the Conference and Exhibition OGT-2022, as well as the closing of the international forum, will take place.
The participants of the Conference and Exhibition OGT-2022 adopted an Address to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
And on Saturday, the forum delegates will be offered a tour of the sights of Ashgabat and a visit to the capital's golf club.
Preparations for the implementation of energy projects discussed at talks in Islamabad
