Priority issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed during a telephone conversation on Thursday between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and his counterpart from the Republic of Korea Pak Jin, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the upcoming meetings with the participation of high-level delegations of the two countries. In this regard, it was noted that the first official visit of the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Korea in November this year will open a new page in the history of bilateral relations.
The diplomats also considered the results of the Cooperation Forum «Central Asia – the Republic of Korea» held in October this year in Busan.
In this regard, the head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said that Turkmenistan assumes the chairmanship in this forum with a sense of great responsibility. At the same time, it was noted that from today, active preparations are underway for the 16th Forum “Central Asia – the Republic of Korea” to be held in Ashgabat in 2023.
