Turkmenistan and Japan signed in Tokyo package of documents

A package of documents between the state departments of Turkmenistan and Japanese companies in the field of gas industry, chemical industry, transport and water management was signed following the results of the 14th joint meeting of the Turkmen-Japanese and Japanese-Turkmen committees for economic cooperation. A delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov arrived in Japan on a working visit to participate in the forum.
As the Turkmen side emphasized during the forum, over the past few years, with the participation of Japanese companies, large facilities in the field of gas chemistry and electric power industry have been implemented and put into operation in Turkmenistan.
The parties exchanged views on various issues of trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan. The successful development of joint cooperation in such areas as transport, electricity, industry, water management, finance and ecology was emphasized. Attention was also paid to expanding partnerships in education and healthcare.
Following the results of the joint meeting, a protocol was signed.
